Tuition Policy - School Fees - Additional Requirements | Print |

SFA is a Parish School. A yearly tuition fee is charged based upon the number of children in the family and the family’s participation in the Parish. This fee may be made in one payment or in ten monthly installments that are due by the 1st of each month.

As you know the school budget is prepared based on the number of students and the tuition for each child. It is essential that your payments are made on time each month. If for any reason you experience difficulties during the school year in making your tuition payments, please make an appointment with the principal to discuss your situation. Thank you for your cooperation.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable fee per child is due at registration.

ANNUAL RE-REGISTRATION FEE: A non-refundable fee for the first child, and a reduced fee for each additional child is due at re-registration (usually held in March). A late fee will be assessed after the stated re-registration period closes. Tuition payments must be complete prior to acceptance of re-registration.

MONTHLY TUITION SCHEDULE: (Aug 1 - May 1) Statements are provided for each family for payment that is to be received in the rectory by the 1st of each month. Payments made after the 15th of the month will incur a late fee for each occurrence. A returned check will incur a charge. Paid tuition/fees are non-refundable.

NON-CONTRIBUTING:
Non-Contributing Families are not contributing to any church of worship.

CONTRIBUTING FAMILIES:
Contributing Families are families who are registered with St. Francis of Assisi Church or families who attend attend mass and contribute to another Catholic Church. St. Francis of Assisi Contributing Families are expected to attend weekly Sunday Mass and are required to contribute a minimum amount in the envelopes provided by the Church.  Failure to meet this minimum weekly support requirement will result in a revision to the full Non-Contributing tuition schedule. This requirement applies to every family with a child registered in Kindergarten through Grade 8. This contribution, in actuality, is part of the normal school tuition.

Current Tuition rates can be found here.

LUNCH PROGRAM:
An annual fee and application is payable in June for the following school year.  Reduced rates are available for families, or for part time use of the lunch program.  The program fee does not include the purchase of any food time.  More lunch program information can be found here.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SFA FAMILIES:
  • Students in Grades K-8 must comply with the school uniform code; all uniform items must be purchased from Flynn & O’Hara Uniforms and Da-Bar Shoes.
  • All students in Grades Pre-School - 8 are responsible for selling one box of candy ($50.00) during our annual fund-raising candy drive.

Financial assistance is available for eligible applicants.

St. Francis of Assisi School does not discriminate against students/families based on race, color, sex, or national origin
