Minor Subjects - Music | Print |

Our Music program is divided into two sections. During the first half of the semester, students learn general music. They study various music theories and compositions so that they may inherit the history of composers and instruments. They listen to and sing a wide range of musical styles to instill an appreciation for all aspects of music in an academic and creative setting. In the second half of the semester, students in grades 5 – 8 are taught to play the keyboard and students in grades 3 and 4 are taught to play the recorder. Our main objective is to teach the love and enjoyment of music to every child in the classroom. With hard work and effort, students develop the self-esteem that comes from performing music.
