Dear SFA Families,
As we begin the beautiful month of May dedicated to Mary, we are mindful of the many blessings and graces our children will receive as they celebrate the greatness of God's love in the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist on May 4. The school and parish community rejoices with you as you celebrate this special occasion with your children.
HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING will be on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Msgr. Campbell Hall. We hope that you will make every effort to attend. The Science Fair projects will be on display and awards will be presented.

Dear SFA Families,
With the birth of another spring, we look to the outdoors to enjoy the newness of God’s creations. I encourage you to allow your children the wonderful opportunity of playing outdoors and limiting the use of TV and computer games.
Re-Registration forms and fees were due on March 25th. If you have not responded, please do so. Families who are not re-registering for September 2013 are asked to return the form indicating that response. Any questions, call the office.

Dear Families:
For the continued safety of everyone in our school, all parents must enter/exit the school building by the front door of the school. Pre-School and Pre-K parents who wait in the kitchen area in the morning must exit the school through the front door only. Periodically, we will be having Fire, Lock-Down, and Evacuation drills so that students, faculty, and staff are well prepared for any type of emergency that may arise.
On February 4th and 5th, students from grades 1 through 8 will view the Child Lures Presentation required by the Diocese of Brooklyn.
We are eager to create a visual school tour of our school for our website and we need your help. If you or someone you know has expertise in this field, please contact Ms. Stefano.
“Catholic Schools Raise the Standards” was the theme chosen this year to recognize our Catholic educational system in the United States. We thank you for choosing St. Francis of Assisi School to educate your children.

Dear SFA Families:
Each year as we celebrate Christmas, we remember the wonderful people in our lives that make each day truly meaningful for all of us. Your beautiful children are the reason why we do our work. They bring us great joy and remind us daily of the wonders of the Christ-child. Their smiles, their excitement, and their promise of a hope-filled future enrich our lives and brighten our spirits. Not a day goes by without some surprising magical moment that is given to us from a child. Each one of them sparkles in their own light, and we love them all! We thank you for sharing the most precious gift of your children with us.
As we look back at a busy December, we want to extend our gratitude to everyone who supported our efforts with our annual Christmas presentations. A special thank you is appropriately given to the entire faculty and student body and to all who helped in so many capacities: stage and hall decorators, music accompaniment, Masters of Ceremonies, backstage director, stagehands, maintenance, ticket sales and video taping, and refreshments and raffle sales.
