Welcome to Pre-School at St. Francis of Assisi School

The focus of our Pre-school program is to help children adjust to the school setting. We learn to listen and follow directions. We learn about being patient and how important it is to wait our turn and speak one at a time.

We work on developing social skills, like sharing, compromising, taking turns and interacting appropriately with other children.

Academically, we learn about colors, shapes, letter recognition and numbers. We learn about the calendar: days, months, seasons and holidays. Spiritually, we learn that God made us and loves us. We introduce simple prayers. We explore the world around us by learning how things grow and evolve. We plant seeds and watch them grow and we watch the transformation of caterpillars into butterflies in our classroom.
