The earliest form of Greek art was created sometime around the year 2,000 B.C.  Some of the most important forms of Greek art are architecture, sculpture, and painting.  Also music was and still is an important aspect of Greek civilization.

Egyptian art began being created in approximately the year 5,000 B.C.  Ancient Egypt was located along the Nile River.  Culturally Egypt is part of the same region as Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Iraq.  Geographically it is part of Africa.

The earliest form of art is called cave art.  It was discovered in 1940 by 4 teenagers in Lascaux, France.  Lightning struck a tree and when it fell it made the opening of a cave easier to see.
