Kindergarten Summer News
Dear Future Kindergarten Children,
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer with your family and friends, and that you are relaxing and having a good time.

I’m sure your parents are very proud of you and you should be very proud of yourselves for all that you learned in Pre-K.  Please try not to forget all the great things that you have already learned.

I encourage you to purchase your Summer Bridge Activities book if you have not done so already.  Try to do a little at a time throughout the entire summer to keep your skills sharp.  Don’t wait until the end of August because then you’ll be trying to re-learn everything.  Doing it a little at a time will help you practice and maintain all that you have learned this year.  This book is a requirement and I ask that you bring the book to me in September.

The skills that you have learned in Pre-K are going to help you become a wonderful reader in Kindergarten. Over the summer, I ask that you read a little bit each and every day.  Parents, if your child is not yet reading on his/her own, please read to him/her. Perhaps you could pick a book or two that you would like to share with your friends in September.

I look forward to meeting each of you in September and working together in Kindergarten.  Please check out the supply list for Kindergarten.  The $25.00 fee covers all that your child will need in September. You do not need to shop for them. Also please remember to bring in your pencil case with the supplies that you received from UPK.

Again, enjoy the summer and be safe!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Behringer
