| Fifth grade is off to a great start! I would like to thank all the students and parents for their hard work and continued support. Please read below to find out what we will be studying next. In the subject area of Religion, students will begin an in-depth study of the seven sacraments. Also, please join us for our class Mass. The Mass will be this Friday, October 7th . |
| In the subject area of Social Studies, students will begin learning about Native Americans. The students will learn about early peoples who lived in the Woodlands, the Plains, the Southwest, the West, the Northwest, and the Arctic. In the subject area of Science, students will learn about cells. Students will define different types of cells, and their functions. In the subject area of ELA, students will read a selection from the stories Thunder Rose, by Jerdine Nolen and Island of the Blue Dolphins, by Scott O'Dell. Students will work on skills such as cause, effect, theme, setting, and visualization. Students will also continue to work on subjects and predicates. Students have a biography book report due on October 28th |
