Welcome to 4th Grade ELA!
|Welcome to 4th grade ELA!
I am honored and excited to be returning to SFA for another successful school year. There are a few things I would like to highlight to ensure a smooth school year, thus increasing your child’s ability to succeed. The information below is important. Please read carefully and keep this information for the school year.
School Year 2016-17 Grade 4 & 5 Reading List
|Dear Students and Families,
As promised, here is the list of books that we will be reading throughout the course of the school year. I will let the students know two weeks prior to needing the book in class. The book should be brought to school daily as we will be reading and having class discussions during class time. Reading assignments will be given for class-work and homework.
What to Expect in Fourth Grade!
| What to Expect in Fourth Grade!
Homework is given most nights. It is expected that homework is completed and signed by a parent. I ask that you sign the planner so that you are aware of all assignments and tests given. Tests/quizzes dates are always indicated in the assignment planner. Also, direct correspondence from me may be indicated in the planner for your response or acknowledgement. All homework is important and it would be appreciated if you as the parent put emphasis on the quality and completion of homework. It must be a priority for the success of your child’s education. If your child is struggling with a concept, let me know on the homework page and we will go over it together. Most times homework is corrected together as a class. Math homework is always corrected together as a class.
*You will be notified of a pattern of consistent incomplete homework and students will know of the consequences.

As the end of 3rd and 4th grades approach, we would like to wish you a wonderful summer. We hope that you will enjoy time with your family and friends, have some cool and fun vacations, relax and have a good time.
