| This joyful time of year offers many opportunities for us to gather as a community. On March 27th we have a parent meeting for First Holy Communion at
7:30 in Msgr. Maresca Center. Please plan on attending. Our students will gather on Saturday, April 1st for their Communion Retreat. Join us in church for the 9:00 Mass. The students will be dismissed from the main entrance of school at 12:00pm. Our last Pre-Communion Mass is April 2nd, and our key word is “Preparing”.
|Welcome back and Happy New Year!|
| I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the lovely gifts and thoughtful notes on the occasion of my birthday and Christmas. They were most appreciated!
|The children worked very hard to prepare for the Christmas Show and they did an excellent job. I was so very proud of them! Their enthusiasm and hard work shined as much as they did. Thank you for your help and cooperation.|
As the cooler weather approaches will be moving forward in Social Studies to Unit 3, Using Our Resources. In this unit children will learn how people use resources and modify their environment as they build different kinds of communities. They will also learn how technology changes communities and helps us conserve resources.
Welcome to the 2nd Grade!
Welcome to the Second Grade
Greetings and welcome to another page in the unfolding novel that is your child. I hope your summer was an enjoyable one and you were able to spend some restful time with your family. I am so very pleased to inform you that I will have a teaching assistant on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Ms. Giardino is a familiar face at SFA working in After Care, PreSchool and subbing. I welcome her and am excited about sharing this year of adventure and learning with her.
|Dear First Grade Parents,
As summer quickly approaches my thoughts revolve around the new group of students which will walk through my door in September. To help your child adjust to the rigors of second grade please continue to encourage them to read and write daily over the summer. A huge request… absolutely! But none will assist your child more as they navigate through second grade.
