WORLD YOUTH DAY  2011 

This year the Holy Father will be going to Madrid for World Youth Day, August 15th to the 21st. As you can imagine hundreds of youth from around the world, will attend and participate in the many teaching sessions that will be available. The Holy Father will celebrate an evening vigil of prayer on Saturday, August 20 and will celebrate mass with the youth on Sunday August 21st.   

We here in St. Francis of Assisi are honored to have one of our young people going to this world event with the Pope. Nicholas Mistretta, who graduated from St. Francis, is the brother of our 5th Grade teacher, works in the rectory and on the weekends as a sacristan, will be attending the World Youth Day and will represent our parish. 

Please keep him in your prayers and all the young people who will be participating in this wonderful religious experience with our Holy Father.
