WEDNESDAY

Nov. 20th

Italian

-Today we will go downstairs to visit Sr. Maureen, our school nurse, who will teach us about staying healthy by introducing us to the Food Pyramid so we can see what foods (and drinks) we should be consuming. She will also talk to us about why it is important to get check-ups yearly and how we can keep our bodies safe. She will also give us the opportunity to listen to our hearts. How cool!

-We will read and sing our Doctors and Nurses song.

-HW: Trace and Write Lowercase “i”.

THURSDAY

Nov. 21st

Music

-We will be creating our own healthy meals. We will look through magazines and cut out foods (and drinks) that we not only like, but that will help us create a healthy meal.

-HW (1): Find and cut out a picture of something that starts with the letter “I” “i”.
(2): Number nine (9) worksheet

FRIDAY

Nov. 22nd

-Today we will start to talk about Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for. We will talk about the history behind Thanksgiving to prepare for our celebration next week.
-We will read The First Thanksgiving.
-We will sing Over the River: A Turkey’s Tale

-HW: Practice Makes Perfect!

News and Reminders:

-If you have not returned your UPK blue cards, it is very important you get them in now! Thank You!

- If you have not handed in your child’s medical, it is very important that you get them in ASAP, as they should have been in before your child started school. Thank You!

-Conferences are just around the corner and I want to meet with each child’s parents. Please make sure to fill out and return the conference preference form ASAP so I can schedule an appointment for you. Remember conferences will be on December 4 from 7:00PM until 9:00PM and on December 5 from 12:45 to 2:15. I will give preference to those parents that work for the night time appointments. Thank you for understanding!

-We will be having our Thanksgiving celebration on November 26th at 10:45AM, with a 12:00 noon dismissal. An invitation is enclosed for you to come. If at least one of you cannot make it, please see if a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or special friend can come. That would be great!

-December Scholastic Book Orders will be due by Tuesday, December 2nd in order for you to have them by Christmas. This gives you two (2) full weeks. Thank you!

-All tuition payments must be put in an envelope with your child’s first and last name on it, as well as what is inside, and put in the mail slot at the Rectory. Thank You!

- Museum of Natural History, Dinosaur Exhibit- Wednesday, Jan. 21st
- Sesame Street Live at WAMU Theatre-Wednesday, February 11th
- Carnegie Kids at the Kaplan Space Museum-Tuesday, March 24th
