CLASS RULES 

Objectives: 

●         Composition: writing in Italian

●         Written and Oral comprehension

●         Ability to express ideas in Italian

●         Culture, Literature, History, Geography and the Arts related to Italy 

GRADES:

●         25% determined by a TEST.  

There will be1 test every 3 months on matters
 strictly related to all lessons  

●         25% determined by PARTICIPATION 

Participation in class in extremely important and is related to all activity in class.

Improper behavior cannot be tolerated during the Italian class. Students that disobey this rule are subject to a penalty of 5 points each warning and detention after the third warning.

A parent will be informed of all improper behavior of the student the same day. 

●         25% determined by CLASS WORK

(including class works, exercises in class, compositions, videos, grammar, songs, projects…) 

●         25%  determined by PREPARATION/HOMEWORK 

Each and every class will have to be reviewed at home. The students should know the key notions explained in class the previous week.

Penalty for unprepared students:

    - 5 points (minus 5 points)

    detention after the third time 

Make up tests: (ONLY 6^TH, 7^TH AND 8^TH grade) 

In case a student is absent during a test, he or she is supposed to bring a note and will then take a make up test the following week.
