                 97% of our students made their first choice high school
                 77% of our students made all 3 of their choices
                 30% of our students received scholarships
                 15 Scholarships totaling over $215,000 have been awarded
                         to 10 students (awards continue to come in!)

     Students have been enrolled in The Stock Market Game: for the Spring Session.  In correlation with their math program we will invest in the stock market in almost real-time (all changes take place at 4PM just after the closing bell).

     Students will be:
              apprised of the (few) rules and regulations
              assigned trading partners, ID's and passwords
              given an opening portfolio of $100,000
              encouraged to read the NY Times stock market pages
              asked to read what is happening in the world that might
                     have a positive or negative impact on the market
              reminded to think about how they and their peers choose
                      to spend their assets

     This may be the impetus for some lively dinner conversation throughout the course of the Fall Program. We did have a first place winner in this class Spring '07!  (Special congratulations to Brian E, Brianna V, Samantha W for placing first becoming the first SFA team to win a game!)  They received prizes to invest and the school received a banner.
